Knauf Gypsum Philippines, Inc. to build state-of-the-art facility in Batangas

The groundbreaking ceremony of GPCCI Member Knauf Gypsum Philippines, Inc. occurred on 9 May 2017, at Calaca Seaport in Batangas, launching the construction of their manufacturing facility for plasterboard and other building solutions. The plant is located on a six-hectare property within the aforementioned industrial park.

The facility, according to Knauf CEO for Asia and the Pacific, Murray Read, aims to cater to the demand of the country’s booming construction industry for plasterboard and gypsum-based building solutions as well as provide employment opportunities to the country’s population.

“This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant marks our confidence and optimism in one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economies, if not the best performing one,” Read said.
