Tristan Loveres, GPCCI’s President and Dr. Martin Henkelmann, GPCCI’s Executive Director together with Dr. Alberto Fenix, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Human Resource Development Foundation, gave the opening remarks at the 2-day event.

The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) conducted a training on Human Resource Development – Training and Events Management. Twenty-eight participants representing 18 local chambers and associations throughout the Philippines joined the event in Manila. As partner in the K to 12 PLUS project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to engage local chambers in dual education and training to support the Philippines’ Basic Education Reform, GPCCI focuses on sharing its expertise in chamber development with local stakeholders. In line with the project goal of promoting dual education and training to develop a skilled workforce while ensuring the competitiveness of locally operating businesses, the 2-day training guided chambers to identify skills and training needs among current and potential member companies. Input and exercises on training development, costing, marketing, and implementation equipped participants with the knowledge to identify and deliver income-generating Human Resource Development services in their respective locations.
