The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI), and under the patronage of the German Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Andreas Pfaffernoschke, successfully held the Mabuhay Germany Ambassador's Cup on the 5th of June 2026 at Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas.
Since 2003, the golf tournament continues to bring together German-Philippine entrepreneurs, Philippine government leaders, and members of the diplomatic corps for a memorable day of golf and connections.
The tournament drew an enthusiastic field of players all competing across the scenic fairways of Mt. Malarayat. True to its tradition, the MGAC served not only as a competitive sporting event, but as a platform for strengthening the German-Philippine network.
Gracing the Ceremonial Tee-Off were German Embassy, Head of Administration, Mr. Alexander Thielitz, GPCCI Board Director, Mr. Holger Beck, PPI Pazifik Power’s, Mr. Jann Altavano, and GPCCI Golf Director, Mr. Klaus Schroeder who all swung the anticipated tournament into action.
Following the tournament, participants and invited guests gathered for a post-round reception, with special thanks to Krah Pipes for sponsoring the beer. The evening featured the awarding ceremony for tournament and raffle winners and was graced by welcome remarks from GPCCI President, Dr. Christian Scheld, and German Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Dr. Andreas Pfaffernoschke.
This year's tournament proudly featured the Haribon Foundation as its designated beneficiary, chosen by the German Embassy. Ms. Mayan Quebral, Chairperson and CEO gave a heartfelt message about their mission to protect and improve the quality of communities through nature conservation. The Foundation’s presence served as a reminder that the MGAC's impact extends well beyond the fairways.
