UN Global Compact

Der UN Global Compact (UNGC) ist eine Initiative, die darauf abzielt, die Strategien und Tätigkeiten von Unternehmen an universellen Grundsätzen in den Bereichen Menschenrechte, Arbeit, Umwelt und Korruptionsbekämpfung auszurichten und Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, die gesellschaftliche Ziele fördern. GPCCI unterstützt diese Initiative nachdrücklich, indem es sich gegenüber seinen Stakeholdern und der Öffentlichkeit klar zu dieser Verpflichtung bekennt. Wir halten diese zehn Prinzipien bei allen unseren Geschäften ein.

Die zehn Prinzipien des UN Global Compact

Die zehn Prinzipien des UN Global Compact leiten sich ab von der: Universal Declaration of Human Rights, der International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, der Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, und dem United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

Human Rights

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labour

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Global Compact Netzwerk Philippinen

Das Global Compact Network Philippines (GCNP) wurde im Mai 2016 von den am UN Global Compact teilnehmenden Unternehmen und anderen Organisationen in Makati City gegründet. Als neu entstehendes Netzwerk bietet das GCNP gleichgesinnten Unternehmen auf den Philippinen - ob groß, klein oder mittelgroß -, akademischen Einrichtungen und zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen die Möglichkeit, zusammenzuarbeiten, um Initiativen für verantwortungsbewusstes Wirtschaften zu stärken und die Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung (SDGs) voranzubringen.
