Bridging Policy into Practice: GPCCI and TESDA Lead Strategic Dialogue on the EBET Law

  • News

The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI), in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), successfully hosted a learning session titled “Bridging Policy and Practice: An Overview of the EBET Law.”

Introduction.png

The session aimed to provide GPCCI member companies and partners with a comprehensive understanding of the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Law and its critical role in advancing workforce development in the Philippines.

This session forms part of GPCCI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between industry, government, and the academe — following the signing of the Amended MOU with TESDA last July 9 and the Dual Vocational Education Summit held on September 23. The session highlighted how the EBET Law empowers private sector stakeholders to actively contribute to talent development through enterprise-based training models. Participants gained clarity on how the law facilitates more responsive, industry-aligned learning pathways that address evolving labor market needs.

The discussion opened meaningful dialogue on how public–private partnerships can be leveraged to translate policy into real employment opportunities and skills readiness. Representatives from various industries and academic institutions exchanged perspectives on implementation strategies, challenges, and opportunities for co-creating inclusive and future-ready training ecosystems.

GPCCI extends its appreciation to Mr. Aldrin D. Jungay of TESDA for serving as the session’s speaker and for providing invaluable insights into the EBET Law’s implementation and its implications for industry participation.

As the Philippines moves toward a more skills-driven economy, GPCCI reaffirms its commitment to enabling collaborative platforms that bring together government, industry, and academe to build a future-ready Filipino workforce through the EBET framework and beyond.
