The program formally opened with remarks from Ambassador Pfaffernoschke - “It is a reflection of the renewed dynamics of our bilateral relations and the growing and intensifying partnership and covers all areas of cooperation.”

GPCCI, in close collaboration with the government, has accelerated initiatives to support growth, talent and investments." said GPCCI President Ms. Marie Antoniette Mariano, further citing achievements in economic growth in the country. While Sec. Roque notes that “for decades, the Philippines and Germany have built a strong relation on trust, relationship, and sustainability.” She also regards that “Germany remains as one of the Philippines most valued European partners.”

After the ceremonial Ribbon Cutting and a tour of all booths, an Exclusive Brunch was held, where GPCCI Executive Director Christopher Zimmer welcomed the VIPs and exhibitor representatives. In his welcoming remarks, he said that “this year’s theme, “In High Spirits,” perfectly captures the essence of what we celebrate tonight: the optimism and unity that drive our communities forward.”

All throughout the event, Mabuhay Germany guests visited the exhibitors’ booths and had fun with their activities and freebies. They also got a taste of local Filipino food to authentic German dishes and beers from the Food Concessionaires. Guests were also given "MG Passports”, which acted as guides for the guests to roam around BGC Central Square and visit each booth. As the day went on, various exhibitors showcased their products and services through their 5-minute company pitches.

Both days featured enlightening and educational programs such as panel discussions. The first day panel focused on "Strengthening German-Philippine Relations", and the second day discussed “Powering Responsible Progress with Digitalization and AI". Another program held at the fair was the Karrieremesse or Job Fair, with “Opportunities in Germany” being the theme for the first day, and "Advice for First Time Jobseekers” on the second day. This was attended by students from Academic Partners: TUP, FEU Manila, UE and DLSU-CSB, who heard advice on their future careers from experienced representatives from both the public & private sectors. In the afternoon, the crowd was introduced to BOSCH, Boehringer Ingelheim Philippines, and fleuresse® by North-Diamond where various programs piqued the audiences’ interest.

The fun continued in the evening, with activities such as the Table Football Tournament, Raffle Draws, and electrifying performances by an invited jazz-rock band that serenaded the tradegoers with German and English hits.

As the two-day event wrapped up, the unmistakable celebration of German-Philippine relations was a success. Many were exposed to the marvels of German technology, opened doors for new opportunities in career and business, indulged themselves in German cuisine, and enjoyed the night in music and splendor – ending in high spirits.
