To celebrate the season of Mother’s Day, the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) held its Libangan Abend at Pottery Sessions Studio in Makati for a hands-on workshop where participants could sculpt, shape, and bond over clay.
The Chamber’s Libangan Abend combines the Tagalog term 'Libangan,' signifying leisure and recreational activities, with the German word 'Abend’ translating to evening. As the term suggests, the event’s approach represents the Chamber’s endeavors designed to actively involve its members.
This year's Libangan Abend Clay Creations: A Mother's Day Pottery Experience was held on the 18th of May 2024, and introduced a new take on the usual events organized by the Chamber. Set in a more intimate stage, the participants consisted of family, friends, and colleagues who connected with each other’s works of art varying from bowls, mugs, paper weights, tic-tac-toe boards, a clock, door decorations, and trinket holders.
Participants took pleasure in the interactive experience of crafting personalized trinkets that symbolize the cherished moments spent together. On this delightful occasion, attendees not only celebrated the significant individuals in their lives, but also left with keepsakes to treasure those memories.
