PAVE Program Marks Milestone with Successful Inaugural Examination in Dubai

23.05.2024

The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce (GPCCI) proudly announces a significant milestone in automotive education and training: the successful completion of the inaugural B-Level accredited examination of the German Chamber for the Porsche Aftersales Vocational Education (PAVE) program in Dubai.

This accomplishment was made possible through the collaboration between PAVE, GPCCI, and the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK Gulf Region), ensuring the successful execution of this innovative approach for the pilot examination.

The PAVE program features a 2-year Automotive Mechatronics training based on the renowned German model. Trainees undergo on-the-job training (OJT) in Dubai, immersing themselves in brand-specific content for Porsche and Audi. The rigorous theoretical and practical examination, held at the world’s largest Audi service center on April 26 and 27, 2024, with the support of Al Nabooda Automobiles LLC, marked the culmination of this comprehensive training. The exam consisted of 10 stations, split evenly between the two brands.

This cross-country training and assessment approach ensures that trainees are well-prepared to meet the unique challenges of their respective brands. Starting their education in the Philippines, completing OJT in Dubai, and undergoing assessment in Dubai, trainees benefit from consistent, high-quality standards throughout their education.

The success of this milestone underscores PAVE's dedication to delivering high-quality skills training for technicians capable of competing globally. The commendable efforts of the four trainees who passed the examination reflect their commitment to excellence and the rigorous training they received.

GPCCI extends sincere gratitude to all the examiners whose dedication was instrumental in ensuring the success of the examination. Additionally, heartfelt congratulations go to the Porsche Training and Recruitment Center Philippines (PTRC-PH) and the dedicated PAVE PTRC-PH Batch 9 trainees. This achievement not only propels the graduates into promising careers but also marks a significant stride in aligning local vocational education with global standards.

GPCCI remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering such collaborations and contributing to the growth and excellence of vocational education in the Philippines.
