Committees

The Chamber's Committees are central to its activities, each specializing in specific sectors led by private sector representatives. This enables Chamber Members to engage with the Chamber as it considers every perspective of the business community. Meetings are conducted regularly to facilitate discussions regarding the most recent developments on relevant topics, with the goal of devising effective solutions and coordinating collective efforts.

Membership Committee

A Chamber's strength lies in its Members. With over 270 Members, the GPCCI Membership Committee organizes events and programs to help Members connect with key business contacts, build networks, and access different industries. The Committee meets regularly to discuss how to keep Members engaged and ensure Chamber programs stay relevant.

Joint Maritime Committee

The Joint Maritime Committee, pioneered by GPCCI, unites partner Chambers to address maritime issues. Representing key ship owners and stakeholders, it fosters dialogue with government entities, collaborating with Dutch, French, Nordic Chambers, and the Philippines-Norway Business Council to tackle challenges affecting employers and seafarers.

Vocational Training Committee

GPCCI implements and certifies German-standard vocational training in the Philippines, ensuring quality through rigorous standards and expert consultation. The Vocational Training Committee oversees training efforts, supports employers with advisory services, and fosters collaboration among businesses, communities, and educational entities to enhance training outcomes and meet diverse needs.

Policy and Advocacy Committee

The Policy & Advocacy Committee supports GPCCI Members by identifying policy activities impacting their interests. It keeps Members informed on issues affecting the Germany-Philippines business environment through materials and events, while facilitating connections among government agencies, NGOs, business associations, and educational institutions to promote collaboration.

IT Committee

The  Information Technology Committee is an avenue for GPCCI Members who are engaged in various electronic platforms such as e-commerce, e-governance, etc. to harmonize their goals and interests. It elucidates the Chamber’s initiatives to adapt to Industry 4.0 and its potential to improve productivity and competitiveness in the age of digitalization. These transitions all fall in the efforts to bridge the digital gap in the Philippines.
