As part of the ongoing Future Movers Programme, GPCCI successfully concluded a two-day In-Company Trainer training for 24 representatives from small to large construction companies based in Manila and Mindanao. The diverse mix of participants shared their respective in-house training experiences, current online training challenges, and suggestions on how to overcome them.
Here at GPCCI, we advocate for Vocational Education and Training (VET) where in-company learning – alongside theoretical and practical training in vocational schools – plays a crucial role in developing well-skilled and adaptable workers. We therefore train dedicated in-company trainers and equip them with the skills and tools needed to become successful mentors. The training focuses on hands-on training and engagement methods, session plan development as well as feedback giving and assessment as a means to verify the knowledge conveyed.
“Mr. Bryan Araneta, our master trainer, is highly knowledgeable and generously shared his knowledge with us,” said Carl-Alexis Oro, Senior Trainer at DMCI Project Developers Inc. “The course was relevant, and the concepts addressed throughout the training will be very beneficial, particularly for the learning and growth of our technical professionals at DMCI Homes,” Mrs. Oro shared.
The Train the In-Company Trainer program aims to support the growth of companies as they continue to upskill their workforce through training and development.
