On October 18, 2024, the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) visited Clark, Pampanga, to explore investment opportunities and assess the area’s potential for business growth. The delegation, which included the German Ambassador to the Philippines, attended a business briefing and embarked on a rolling tour of key sites such as Clark International Airport, New Clark City, and the Clark Development Corporation. The visit, organized in partnership with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), highlighted Clark’s transformation into a prime economic hub. SGV & Co. hosted the event, providing the venue for discussions and supporting efforts to foster business partnerships in the region.
The GPCCI Clark Regional Investment Visit 2024 commenced with a business briefing that focused on the prospects of the Philippine government through the BCDA in Clark’s development. Atty. Gisela Kalalo, BCDA Executive Vice President, tackled their initiative to strengthen Central Luzon’s economy and elevate Clark’s global investment position. Her discussion included the various infrastructure projects planned in the next years and the investment opportunities for the German-Philippine business community such as potential investments in information and communication technology, industrial estates, and waste-to-energy initiatives.
To complement the discussion, attendees participated in a rolling tour of key areas in Clark, starting with Clark International Airport. Led by LIPAD CEO Noel Manankil, the group toured the airport’s departure, boarding, and arrival areas, with a briefing on its passenger capacity, key features, and expansion plans. The next stop was New Clark City, where they visited the Aquatics Center, Athletics Stadium, National Academy for Sports, and the National Government Administrative Center. The tour concluded at Clark Development Corporation with a visit to H3 Technologies Inc., a German electronics manufacturer operating within the Clark Special Economic Zone.
