In 2019, about 28% of major plastic resins are recycled in the Philippines. However, 78% of the material value of plastic amounting to US$ 790-900 Million per year remains to be lost economically. As Philippines has slowly been transitioning towards a circular economy, the need for solid waste infrastructures, sustainable production, and recycling practices have been gaining recognition from various stakeholders. Partnerships from various institutions within and outside the country are being fostered in order to maximize the hundreds of opportunities in the recycling and waste management sectors of the Philippines.
The German business delegation on recycling and waste management that will visit the Philippines on September 26-30, 2022 aims to explore these possible partnership opportunities with Philippine companies. Meet our delegates who will introduce their solutions during our business conference on September 27, 2022, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Dusit Thani Manila:
- 2G Energietechnik GmbH
- BOMAG GmbH
- CUTMETALL plus Carbide Germany GmbH
- EUWELLE Environmental Technology GmbH
- Vecoplan AG
Through this business conference, both German and Philippine companies will be provided a venue to exchange ideas, knowledge, and establish partnership opportunities.
