Export Programs
The Federal Government offers a wide range of instruments for promoting foreign trade.
Many export initiatives of the German Government on federal and national level offer interesting programs for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to explore new markets like the Philippines: From promotional industry conferences to individual business partner searches, the instruments are diverse. Typical project formats are scoping missions, information events, joint pavilions at local trade fairs and business delegations. Find out which projects and delegation trips are coming up for the Philippines.
German Energy Solutions by BMWi
We support German small and medium sized companies to increase the sales potential of their products, services and technologies in the fields of energy and energy efficiency.
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the AHK Philippines carries out various projects as part of the export program German Energy Solutions.
New umbrella brand of the Energy Export Program: “Mittelstand Global”

Environmental Protection Export Program by BMUV
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV), the AHK Philippines facilitated a Capacity Building Training on Wastewater Technology Management and Water Efficiency Measures. These trainings should help companies comply with the new Wastewater Administrative Order (DENR-AO 2016-08) on water quality guidelines, and in the formulation of the so-called Compliance Action Plan.
In cooperation with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce (PCCI) and the Philippine Department Ministry of Environment (DENR), the training sessions were executed in Taguig and Tagaytay in January 2018, which gathered a total of 80 company representatives from various industries.
Companies are concerned that the new standard compliance is capital-intensive and contemplate that there is a lack in technical know-how. However, biological treatment can improve wastewater standards. The Compliance Training therefore, provides SMEs with the possibility of using water efficiency approaches and technology solutions based on German technologies, to improve their competitiveness in the market and to promote further sustainability.
Innovations in environmental and climate protection, as well as resource efficiency, offer considerable opportunities for environmental relief and sustainable economic development. In the future, environmental technologies and innovations will increasingly become drivers of prosperity. The Environmental Technology Export Initiative, launched in 2016 by the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), aims to disseminate environmental technologies and thereby, make a concrete contribution to sustainable development and better living conditions in other countries. The environmental relevance of sustainable technologies should also facilitate the export of German environmental know-how and technologies.
