04/11/2022

Catch up on one of GPCCI’s most anticipated events of the year, GPCCI’s German Ambassador’s Cup 2022 (GGAC)!

It’s been two years since GPCCI held its last GGAC, which left patrons thrilled and ready for this year’s tournament.

The energy was up, the stakes were high, and everyone was looking forward to the event. Held last October 28, Manila Southwoods Golf and Country club hosted this event.

Though it was a short trip from Metro Manila, players eagerly arrived early to prepare for their strokes and get to know each other. After registering, players entered their designated locker rooms and retrieved their golf shirts and kits. Breakfast was served in the venue, giving golfers space to mingle and get to know their flight mates.

Ceremonial Tee-Off began with swings from Her Excellency Ambassador Anke Reiffenstuel,  Mr. Alexander Grenz, CEO of AllianPNB Life and Treasurer of GPCCI, and German Embassy First Secretary Mr. Alexander Thielitz.

After the tee-off, players went to their assigned holes with their flights to prepare for the shotgun start to kick off the tournament.

Following all the excitement, players and guests retreated to the reception hosted by the German Embassy in Manila at the German Ambassador’s residence, where the awarding commenced.

Angat Buhay Foundation was the recipient of the donation amounting to Php 200,000. Mr. Raphael Martin Magno, Executive Director of Angat Buhay, received this on behalf of the foundation.
